Masters of Melodic Punk

There are lineups you just look at and can tell will be amazing. A couple bands on the bill stand out and above a lot of their respective genre. In the case of this night at the Crescent Ballroom, it was just that. The tour paired the talented musicians of both Red City Radio and Lawrence Arms, alongside the fantastic discovery for me in Sincere Engineer opening it up. Sincere Engineer is the one person, acoustic act of Deanna. From the beginning she was entertained not just by performing these…

Look What Happened

Road trips are becoming a more common regularity for my concert going. It is not just the big festivals either. This is a random trip to a place out of town like the Rialto in Tucson. A Rebel Riot At the Yucca Tap

This was a night to remember at the Yucca Tap Room, rather part of outside the Yucca Tap! It was a great mix of locals and touring bands, bringing out more people who could fit in the regular venue. It sure doesn’t hurt that the headliner is one of two bands I’ve put in ink on my skin. The weather was perfect, and the PBR was flowing! The show kicked off with No Gimmick, and the charismatic Johnny Gimmick doing what he does best. Some of the best banter of…
