Artist Spotlight: Broloaf

In this artist spotlight, it is one that occasionally brings their own spotlight since I found them, Broloaf. They are a band put together by random chance for a contest. Lucky for us, they decided after the competition to keep these members together to continue spreading the fun. Broloaf is a band with East Coast Hardcore influence and WWE flair. They write songs mocking the bro culture to the style of that genre. Well performed, as the music experience and talent of the band members shines at any given performance.…

That Patriotic Meltdown

The second half my Independence Day traditions for a few years running is the one packaged with Broloaf. They do their annual Independence Day Meltdown every year, usually the Saturday before or on July Fourth. For one, if you have seen a Broloaf show then you know they bring the boom. For two, you get a package with great bands joining them for the celebration. This night was opened up with an old familiar, Skull Drug. It was their usually high energy, fast paced set. Bro, Don’t Call Me Bro

There is not quite a show like a Broloaf show. I could name it that because of the presentation. The confetti, the beer bongs, and the story skits they put on through any given show. I struggled to keep it a best of ten, so I made it fifteen. I’m sure it may come to a shock for some it isn’t a punk band atop it, but my favorite genre does sit within in a couple spots. Be sure to check out all these artists and catch them at a show…

A Rebel Riot At the Yucca Tap

This was a night to remember at the Yucca Tap Room, rather part of outside the Yucca Tap! It was a great mix of locals and touring bands, bringing out more people who could fit in the regular venue. It sure doesn’t hurt that the headliner is one of two bands I’ve put in ink on my skin. The weather was perfect, and the PBR was flowing! The show kicked off with No Gimmick, and the charismatic Johnny Gimmick doing what he does best. Some of the best banter of…
