It was a night that brought together friends from everywhere. Our usual scene of friends joined by those we love when they come to town. This marks the third birthday show put together by a friend. It was a full punk lineup, varied from the prior two shows. This time it was celebrating Summer’s birthday and she brought out five shining examples of the Phoenix scene. How she managed to stay closer to sober the entire night is the only enigma I have. Sunday was my longest day with a physical camera. Having not gone to bed until about 5 AM, I started my day at the main festival. Hearing that the pool parties at the new location were more of a headache to get in, seemed a little more sleep was a better idea to prepare. This was a night to remember at the Yucca Tap Room, rather part of outside the Yucca Tap! It was a great mix of locals and touring bands, bringing out more people who could fit in the regular venue.
