Photo Gallery: Ska Parade 30th Anniversary Tour
January 25th was a night of many awesome and hard music decisions in Phoenix. However, my attention went to the collection of amazing and fun ska bands celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Ska Parade radio show. Bowcat were our sole locals that kicked off a night that just felt like a celebration of the genre. Joker’s Republic was the only band new to me and I was blown away. If you’ve never seen Hans Gruber and the Die Hards, then you owe it to yourself to when things resume.
The other three, Los Kung Fu Monkeys, Monkey, and the Holophonics, on this night’s bill are always my pleasure when I get to watch these friends. Through the night you could see the tour was a bonding time for them all, as a camaraderie played out from support in front of the stage to members joining for a song on stage for nearly every set. In the end, I didn’t want to leave the show and I didn’t despite the heavy competition around. With that, I wish Tazy a congrats on thirty years of Ska on the radio with Ska Parade and hope you guys enjoy the photos from the night below.
