The first band interview I did was with Reason Unknown. Scott has been the only drummer I’ve known for that band since I discovered them. The unfortunate side effect of life is that it brings changes regularly. In this case, the Phoenix punk scene is losing a great dude on drums and energetic guy to find in any mosh pit. Metaphors are a fun way to open up some piece of writing. I could go into the symbolism of a Phoenix for James or the lineup tonight for Down by Law being from the punkrockacademyfightsong album, their third and arguably most known album.
